Landlords
The following rules apply for private rental properties under the Warmer Homes programme:
- Only landlords who own four or fewer rental properties in their portfolio will be eligible. This four property limit applies to the landlord and their spouse/partner and any companies the landlords owns or controls.
- Funding is available to private rental properties rated EPC Band D or E. Band F or G rated properties are only eligible if they have a registered exemption under the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015.
Contributions:
The landlord will be required to provide a minimum financial contribution of one-third of the cost of the measures.
Please note the below table is just an example. Contributions will be worked out on a case by case basis, depending on the total cost of the measures being installed and will be communicated to the landlord prior to installation for approval.
