Community food pantries and food vouchers
Community food pantries
For those that are struggling to afford food, residents can get their groceries and provisions once a week at a fraction of the cost by registering to a community pantry. There is a recommended donation per visit for which customers will receive a bag of food. This will include fresh and frozen items, toiletries and household items.
Any family in receipt of free school meals for their child can use the Community Pantries and access affordable food. Please talk to your school in the first instance to access the Community Pantries.
If you are struggling financially, but are not receiving free school meals, please speak with your child's school who can consider whether any financial support can be given. Alternatively, you can contact Citizens Advice Fareham.
There are three community pantries:
Each of the pantries are run slightly differently. They all have different registration criteria and recommended donation amounts. Residents are encouraged to contact their local pantry before they visit to check opening days, times and to find out how to register. Details of each can be found below.
