UK Armed Forces Accommodation

Living accommodation for UK armed forces personnel which is owned by the Ministry of Defence is exempt from Council Tax, regardless of whether it is occupied or not.

This includes barracks and other accommodation on military bases, together with married quarters (whether on bases or not), as long as the Ministry of Defence accepts that the property is held for the purposes of UK forces accommodation.
