How the budget has changed in 2021/22

The council's net budget for 2021/22 is £10,271,900 an increase of £665,400 or 6.93% compared to 2020/21.

How the Council Tax for Fareham Borough Council compares to other District Councils

Fareham's Council Tax at £165.22 was the 5th lowest Council Tax in the country in 2020/21 and the 2nd lowest in Hampshire.  The Council Tax for 2021/22, at £170.22, will remain one of the lowest rates.

The total Council Tax payable at Band D (including the portions for Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Fire and Rescue and Police & Crime Commissioner) is £1,817.56 in 2021/22.
