Welcome Guides
The Welcome Guide gives you information on the support that is available to make sure your accommodation is safe, how to get your children into education and how to link into health services. It also includes details of other support for yourself and your children. These guides are available here in Ukrainian and Russian

Social and community events
Fareham Borough Council
There are a number of free to attend events scheduled throughout the year which offer the opportunity to integrate with the local community. You can find information about these on our event pages and the 'what's on' section of our website.

Fareham and Gosport Homes for Ukraine support
- Weekly coffee morning held on alternate weeks at Christ Church in Gosport and Fareham Working Men's Club in Fareham to enable Ukrainian families to meet and identify needs.
- Held on Sundays 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Christ Church, Stoke Road, Gosport, PO12 1JQ or Fareham Working Men's Club at 8 Mill Road, Fareham, PO16 0TN

Y Services Youth Activities
- Reduced rates for individual membership of the scrapstore with free craft bags for new families to use with children.
- Offering free studio time at Genesis for Ukrainian young people to undertake music work.
- Young people can of course attend any of Y Services' open access/targeted youth projects in the Borough.

Acts of Kindness
- Help to provide furniture and occasional IT equipment that can be distributed to refugees.

- Free and discounted food (via their community pantry).
- Based at Fareham North West Community Centre
- Open Tuesday and Thursday 1.30pm to 3.30pm and Saturday 10.30am to 12.30pm

- Woodsy's Pantry offers subsidised food and other family support services
- Open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:15pm and Saturday 9:30am to 12.00pm

Waypoint Church / Fareham Food Bank
- Offering 'more for less' scheme to access cheaper food.

Fareham and Gosport Basics Bank
- Short term practical support to anyone in a crisis or emergency situation who cannot afford food.
- A referral is required to access the service which is currently delivery only. Contact Citizens Advice on 01329 223117 in the first instance. They will then refer you to the Basics Bank.

Transport and help with mobility
Free bus travel
First Bus are offering free onward bus travel to all Ukrainian refugees for the first 48hrs they're in the country, helping them travel for free to their host's location. Find out more about the scheme here .
Mobility Services Community First
- Community First's Shopmobility service can provide mobility aids, wheelchairs and mobility scooters for Ukrainian families if required.

Health and wellbeing
Everyone Active
Ukrainian Refugee Free Membership. Offering free 12 months' membership at Fareham Leisure Centre and Holly Hill Leisure Centre:
- 0 to 10 years – access to the swimming pools and soft play (soft play at Fareham Leisure Centre only)
- 11 to 15 years – junior gym access and access to swimming pools
- 16 years and over – gym, access to the swimming pools and group exercise classes.

Fareham (and Gosport) Health and Wellbeing Forum
Coordinated by Community First, Fareham (and Gosport) Health and Wellbeing Forum has a wide range of VCSE groups offering support, information, activities and help which can be accessed by all including Ukrainians and host families. This includes organisations supporting children and adult mental health, physical health and wellbeing, and help with managing long term conditions.

Trauma Counselling
Community First START provides specialist trauma and abuse counselling and restorative therapies and provides access to a number of qualified counsellors offering to support Ukrainians experiencing emotional distress.
