Press Release

More time to have your say on allotment proposals

Fareham Borough Council has extended the closing date for the Stroud Green Allotment consultation to Monday 31 July.

The initial consultation ran between 23 May and 26 June. A large number of surveys were completed and a number of alternative allotment sites in the Stubbington area were proposed.

Executive Member for Streetscene, Councillor Tiffany Harper, said: "I was pleased to see so many people take part in this consultation.  We want to make sure we explore the feasibility of alternative allotment sites before deciding on any proposal.  We also want to give people more time to have their say".

You can complete an online survey online at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations by emailing consultation@fareham.gov.uk or by writing to Communications Team, Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham PO16 7AZ up to Monday 31 July.  Any surveys or comments that have been submitted so far will still be considered at the decision meeting in September.
