Help us improve Portchester Village Centre
Do you have ideas about how Portchester Village Centre could be made better?
Have your say on our Draft Regeneration Vision for Portchester Village Centre in a consultation running between Monday 23 January and Monday 20 February.
The draft vision sets out how we think the area could be improved in the future and sets out 5 key areas:
- More free car parking
- Small redevelopment opportunities
- Improved visual appearance
- Events & activities
- Better shopping experience
You can find out more and tell us what you think at one of our consultation events:
- Wednesday 25 January, 9am – 3pm at Portchester Market
- Monday 6 February, 2pm – 7pm at Portchester Community Centre
- Wednesday 8 February, 9am – 3pm at Portchester Market
- There will also be a display in the space outside Portchester health centre and library on most days which will give an overview of the vision.
Alternatively you can tell us your thoughts by completing an online survey at www.fareham.gov.uk. Paper copies will be available from Portchester Library.
Councillor Keith Evans, Executive Member for Planning and Development at Fareham Borough Council, said: "The Village Centre is the heart of Portchester but it's looking tired and dated. We need your input to help identify what might be done to make the centre more attractive so that it better meets the changing needs of residents and visitors in the future. I'd encourage anyone who uses the Village Centre to have their say by getting involved with the consultation."
