Beach Facilities and Moorings
Moorings
The council does not own the foreshore, but holds a lease from the Crown which entitles it to licence a limited number of mud moorings at Fareham Creek. For further information or to add you details to the waiting list please contact 01329 236100 or email customerservicecentre@fareham.gov.uk.
Beach Huts
Fareham has two Beach Huts locations at Hill Head, the first is at Monks Hill which has 60 sites available and the second being at Cliff Road, which has 105 sites.

Car parks
There are public car parks at:
- Swanwick Shore Road
- Warsash Hard
- Meon Shore serving the Hill Head Harbour and the Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve
- Cliff Road near the Hill Head Harbour
- Salterns Beach
- Monks Hill Beach
- Portchester Castle
Public toilets

Sailing clubs in Fareham
There are a number of sailing clubs based in Fareham, details of some of the clubs are listed below.

- Airtime Kite Surf School
operate at Hill Head at certain times of the year. They work to a voluntary Code of Practice agreed with the Council. Self-regulation is encouraged.
Swimming
There are a number of designated swimming areas along the Hill Head foreshore. Shack Sharks are an active group of open water swimmers.
Safety information and codes of practice
Safety is an important consideration when we manage the Borough's beaches and slipways. There are potential risks with using them. Please be aware of hidden groynes, submerged rocks and the many activities taking place. We also ask you to be aware of the environment and the protected wildlife habitats along the coastline.
Codes of practice
All kitesurfers along Hill Head foreshore are encouraged to work within a safety code of practice. Details of these codes of conduct can be found on the following website:
