Cams Hall Self Guided Walk

Duration: 1 hr 10 mins - 1 hr 45 mins.

Parking: Car park at the end of Shearwater Avenue.

Accessibility: Footpaths only.

Comments: No short cut, watch for golf balls!

The Walk

From the car park turn left onto the track and follow this until you reach the sea.

Turn right along a footpath which leads you between Fareham Creek, to your left, and Cams Hall golf course, to your right. Follow this path right the way round the bay until you meet the A27.

Turn right onto the pavement of this main road and continue straight ahead, past Cams School.

The second right hand turn will be Birdwood Grove. Take this turning and follow it straight down until you see the car park on your left.

Travel directions

From M27 junction 11, take the left hand lane of the route to Fareham A27, which will lead you down to a roundabout. Turn left, under a railway bridge, onto A27 East. At the mini roundabout double back on yourself and continue back along the A27 until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn left here, past a school, and continue along Shearwater Avenue, following bends to the left, right and left again until you see a small car park directly ahead of you, across a track.

Nearest refreshments

The Delme Arms, Cams Hill. From the car park follow Shearwater Avenue back to the A27. Turn left and at the next roundabout, under the railway arches, double back on yourself until you are heading eastwards along the A27. The first left hand turning will be for Cams Hill. Take this turning and follow it round to the left. You will come to a dead end. The Delme Arms will be on your right. The Dovecoat Eatery is also available for light refreshments and this can be found on the Cams Hall Estate.
