Play area improvements
The Council has 46 play areas located across the borough that are provided for children and young people of all abilities up to age of 15. These are managed and maintained by the Council's Streetscene team who undertake regular inspections to ensure that the facilities are safe.
Since 2015, many of our play areas have received an upgrade. This has included new equipment, some of which is inclusive, improvement works to existing equipment and repairs to surfacing where necessary.
Local residents and users were consulted about the play area improvements before any changes were made. For information about these consultations please visit www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations.

Play area improvement programme 2023-2028
A programme of works has been agreed and the following play areas are expected to receive improvements over the next few years.

Hollybrook Gardens, Locks Heath
St Michael's, Locks Heath
Bellfield, Titchfield
Consultations will take place in the Spring with works expected to take place towards the end of the year.
Please note that this list is subject to change.
A further assessment of play areas will be undertaken nearer the time to determine which will receive improvements in 2026/27 and 2027/28.
