How can you contact the Council in an emergency if our offices are closed?
Please note that the following system is only for use outside of office hours and is not monitored during the day. If you need to report an emergency between 8.45am and 5.15pm, Monday to Friday, find details of how to contact us here.

I'm a Council tenant and have an emergency in my home
If your emergency is outside of office hours:
- Text 07860 098627 with the word EMERGENCY followed by your name, first line of your address and a brief description of the nature of the emergency, as shown in the example below:
Emergency Mrs Smith, 1 Leafy Lane, blocked toilet
The on-call officer will receive your text and call you back for more details. Please see the emergency repairs page to determine what an emergency is.
- We also have an out of hours emergency voicemail system; you can call 01329 824747 and leave a voicemail for the out of hours officer to action.
Both of these numbers go straight to the on-call officer. Please note they are not monitored between 8.45am and 5.15pm, Monday to Friday.

My neighbours are being noisy, what do I do?
Out of hours service
You can now text NOISE to 07860 098627, to report noise nuisance. Please include your name, and the address that is causing the problem. If appropriate the on-call officer can attend your property to witness the nuisance.
Alternatively, you can leave a voicemail with the on-call officer on 01329 824727. An officer will call you back and, if available and/or appropriate, will come to your property to witness the nuisance.
How can I contact the Council for non-emergencies if the offices are closed?
There is a 24 hour voicemail service for non-emergencies on 01329 824630. Your message will be actioned the next working day. You can also use our text the Council service and your message will be actioned the next working day.
