Dangerous wild animals
We have a statutory responsibility to enforce animal health and welfare regulations within the Borough. The Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 says no one shall keep any dangerous wild animal except under the authority of a licence granted by us in line with the provisions of this act by us. We regularly inspect the premises where a dangerous wild animal is to be kept to ensure it is suitable in size and design, well maintained and that appropriate measures have been taken to ensure public safety.
