Planning development control committee
Planning development control committee meetings to consider planning applications are usually held in the Collingwood Room at the Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham. The meetings, which are open to the public and media, start at 2:30pm, normally on the second Wednesday of the month. Items considered by committee
All applications that get a representation within the publicity period contrary to an officer's recommendation are included on the main agenda for the planning development control committee. Other types of applications will also be reported to it:
- Where the head of development control considers that the application should be referred to the committee for a decision
- Any applications submitted by or on behalf of members of the Council and their spouses or partners
- Any applications submitted by or on behalf of employees of the Council and their spouses or partners;
- Any applications not in accordance with the Local Development Plan where permission is to be recommended;
- Any applications called in by a councilor.
