Fareham Town Centre Regeneration

Fareham Live named 'Regeneration Project of the Year' at South Coast Property Awards

Fareham Borough Council is delighted that Fareham Live has been recognised as 'Regeneration Project of the Year' at the South Coast Property Awards 2025, after being entered by Stride Treglown who are one of the architects that worked on the redesign.

The judges described the project as 'kick-starting urban regeneration in an existing town centre' as well as 'a brave, bold and significant expenditure'. The judges also highlighted that the development not only brings pride locally and regionally, but will bring economic benefit to the area for years to come.

It is a brilliant recognition, showcasing the start of many regeneration projects to come.

More information is available on the press release.

Our Vision

Let's Talk Fareham Town Centre

Fareham town centre will be a destination of choice with a diverse retail offer, public services and an array of leisure, entertainment, and events for everyone.

Our aspirations for the town

We would like to have more homes in the town centre as well as ensuring any changes in the town centre offering of shops, services and entertainment will better serve our community's changing needs. We also want to create more interesting and high-quality outdoor public spaces and vibrant uses during the day and evening.

Our approach to regeneration

The Council is committed to delivering transformational change in the town by using its own assets, attracting significant inward investment, and partnering with businesses, public sector partners and residents to create a vibrant place for people to visit, live, work and play.
