Anti-social behaviour
Anti-social behaviour covers a wide range of things. It is defined as acting "in a manner that caused or was likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household." It includes nuisance families, youth disorder, verbal abuse, violent behaviour, drug, solvent and alcohol abuse, nuisance from vehicles, harassment and intimidation, nuisance from pets, damage to property, sale of alcohol to under 18s, abandoned vehicles, noise nuisance, graffiti, litter and dog fouling.

Alcohol & drugs
Our directory of services lists local organisations that can help with drugs and alcohol interventions. Please contact us by emailing communitysafety@fareham.gov.uk. The Partnership helps ensure people feel safe when visiting the town centre during the evening by promoting initiatives such as street pastors and taxi marshals. You can see more at saferfareham.
Noise and nuisance
Noise from neighbours is a common source of nuisance and for some people it can be very upsetting. Things of concern include barking dogs, loud music, television, shouting, banging doors and DIY activities. You can see more on our Noise Nuisance page.
