If your bin was missed
We class a bin as "missed" if it was placed on the edge of the highway from 6am on the scheduled day of collection.
Check if there were any problems in your road, such as vehicles blocking our access.
Report your missed collection via the online form below. We operate a three working day policy:
- It must be reported within three working days of your collection day. For example, if your bin was missed on a Monday, you must let us know by the end of Wednesday so that we can empty it.
- We try to return to empty your bin within two working days of the report that it was missed.
- If it is reported after three working days, we ask you to take your bin in and re-present it on your next scheduled collection. Collections will have moved on to another area of the Borough and it would be very inefficient and expensive to get a vehicle to return for one bin.
Report it - If you feel your bin has been missed, fill in our online report a problem form or phone 01329 236100. Please leave your bin in the usual place for collection on the edge of the highway.

Our collection crew leave hangers on bins to let you know about a problem with collection. Details of specific issues will be on each hanger.
